How you personally can help
Helicopter operations like these require a lot of effort and many regualations are involved. Personal relations with authorities play an important role in order to clear a path through the wilderness of laws. More than money, Life Aviation needs your spiritual support and prayer. There's an increasing number of people that is helping Life Aviation. And you can help too. How? Well, here it is:
We want to reach as many people and organizations as possible. In order to achieve this we consider the internet our main channel for people to find us. So we ask you to put a link to our website on your own site. But we can also get you a couple of flyers to distribute to your family, colleagues, members of your club or church, etc. Tell people about us! And of course we need money. Operating helicopter aircraft is not a cheap business. To make it accessible for even the poorest, we need your financial support.
This is how it works:
The cost of flights, including fuel, maintenance, pilot compensation, hanger and services, is covered by the people and organizations who use the services of Life Aviation. They are charged to cover the total expense of the service provided. Life Aviation will make sure that continuity of operation is guaranteed. Therefore it will deal with its business like any other financially healthy organization. Over time, costs and turnover need at least to be equivalent. However... for operations that do comply to the mission statement of Life Aviation, and to the judgement of Life Aviation, part of the price per flighthour will be paid by the foundation itself. Financial resources for this come from donations of organizations, individuals, churches, etc. and make charitable operations possible. This way the price per flighthour for charitable operations may be a lot less than the regular marketprice and may even be less than the real costprice. Actually, in almost any situation that relates to the mission of Life Aviation, only cost of fuel will be charged. Of course, in life or death situations we will charge nothing.
A helicopter for Siberia
As you can read on this website, we expect to start helicopter operations in central Siberia soon. And you guess what: we need a helicopter. We pray that we will obtain the finances to buy a used Bell 206 Jet Ranger, or even better, a Bell 206 Long Ranger. The Jet is a five-seater, and the Long a seven-seater. There is already a small budget, but by far not enough for a helicopter like that.
So, if you have money left from your annual bonus, or you can save money by smoking a couple of packages less a month, or sell old stuff you always wanted to get rid of, or use your fireworks budget of newyears eve, or whatever else you can think of... remember the people in rural Siberia and give them the opportunity to receive help through the work of Life Aviation.
