Organization
Life Aviation is a charitable organization based on Christian principles. It offers its services to local humanitarian and Christian organizations and projects that comply to the mission statement of Life Aviation. We believe that aviation is one of the tools to make the gospel of Jesus Christ accessible to people who live in the most remote regions of this planet. Our priority is to provide air transport to local churches, missionaries, Christian projects and people who are not able to afford air transport when in need.
- Regular medical care in remote areas, where small medical
problems can grow out to life threatening situations; - Evacuation of patients from dangerous situations, like forest fires;
- Search and rescue, people lost;
- Help in disaster areas, like earthquakes and floods;
- Transport of medications and medical personnel;
- Support of humanitarian organizations;
- Food and spare parts transport to whereever there is a need;
- Mail delivery;
- Social care (drugs and alcohol abuse);
- Charitable activities support.
The organization follows an ethical financial policy, which means that we constantly try to work with as little overhead as possible and only make those expenses that are unavoidable with respect to the goals of the foundation. We don't pay salaries to pilots and staff, nor to any vice-president, president, director or governing board. All we do is compensate for cost of living of aviation staff working in the field abroad. This way we try to make helicopter transport as cheap as possible to make it also affordable for the poorest people, who often need it the most. In many situations we only charge cost of fuel. Maintenance and overhead is payed by Life Aviation.
We are raising funds to buy a Bell 206 helicopter or Eurocopter BO105 to operate in central Siberia, where we believe doors will soon open to start Christian aviation. We are thankfull to see that the efforts we put in establishing relationships with local authorities and aviation authorities are effective: in September Life Aviation is invited to meet the Russian administration in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, to expose the plans we have. Here's where you can read more about this trip to Krasnoyarsk. Please help us with your prayers!
